Interview with Ann-Sophie

Hi Ann-Sophie, how would you describe yourself in a few words?
Authentic, frank, meticulous. I love paying close attention to details.

How long have you been with Torréfactorie? How did you end up here?
I’ve been part of the family since 2020. I left for a short time, but I followed my heart and came back. I moved from Alberta to settle down here in Saint-Eustache with my partner, and I applied to Torréfactorie immediately.

 What field do you specialize in, and why this choice?
I am not a student, but I love learning more about subjects that I am passionate about. Some of them are herbalism, astrology, and other little mysteries of life.

Where does your passion for coffee come from?
As soon as I entered the workforce, I had a great interest in working in a café. I started at 17 as a barista, and my love for coffee has only grown. I treasure the memories this job has given me. Thanks to my work, I have been able to travel and work at the same time, which is a treasure in my eyes.

If you had to choose just one coffee for the rest of your life, which one would it be? And why?
Oh, I don’t know if I’m capable of answering that question; I have far too many favorites! But for the sake of the questionnaire, I’d say: Guatemala Antigua!

And your biggest dream, the one you hold closest to your heart?
My wildest dream would be to have a small animal sanctuary farm, with my fields of medicinal plants to create my little herbal teas with a café space, obviously! :)

Finally, if you could share a message with our customers, what would it be?
It makes me happy when you share stories or moments from your daily life with me. Thank you for making me feel part of the great community that is Torréfactorie.
