How to descale your coffee machine?

Pour 125 ml of descaler (half the bottle) into 1 L of water, then empty the mixture into the reservoir. Turn the machine on and start its automatic descaling cycle.

Does your machine not have a descaling cycle? Follow its manual, or this general method: run one cup (250 ml) through the hot water function, wait 10 minutes, then repeat until the reservoir is empty. Then, fill the reservoir with fresh water and empty it using the hot water function, three times in a row, to rinse thoroughly.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The manufacturer indicates it is for all espresso machines and drip coffee makers, both automatic and manual.

How many descaling treatments per bottle?

Two. Each descaling treatment requires half a bottle.

Are descaler and decalcifier the same thing?

Yes. Descaler, decalcifier, and limescale remover all refer to the same product: it dissolves the limescale that water leaves in the machine.
